5 Things I Found Helpful To Me To Heal Spiritually
There is so much being said these days about being our authentic selves, being who we are. I believe we are shaped when we are children and often need to peel back the layers and explore to heal and come to realize who we really are.
For those of us who are highly sensitive, and I should add, highly spiritual, the concepts taught to help us stay in balance were extreme and we internalized them on a deep, deep, level and I am sure there are others out there like me, who ventured out on their own to help them experience spiritual healing so they could understand God on a deeper and more profound level. And so I wanted to share a few things that helped me during my own journey of spiritual healing.
Things I Found Helpful To Me to Heal Spiritually
Spending Time In Nature
Spending time in nature has always been a staple for me. Even as a child, I was fortunate to live in a home in a rural area and would find myself talking to God, even then. Nature is always soothing and healing to one’s soul. It is a meditation in it’s own right and always beneficial to help someone rejuvenate themselves. I still spend much time in nature, although sometimes it might be at a local park.
Protect Yourself From Negative Energies
One of the things I came to realize intuitively was that I needed to stay away from all of the violent programming that was in our world. I intuitively understood that it would be injurious to my soul and hamper my healing. I spent much time alone and was silent for a long time, speaking only when necessary, so that I did not open myself up to the negativity in our world. It was an important part of my healing process. I surround myself in white light daily, as often as I think to do it, to help protect me from the negative energies in our universe. I also spent time in prayer and meditation to ask that God, the Angels and other Spiritual Being of Light watch over me. And I wore many different stones as I was guided to them.
Spending Time In Meditation
I spent much time in meditation (prayer and contemplation too, although meditation is my favorite) and journaled often as it helped me to process that which I was learning in my life so that I could truly experience healing emotionally and spiritually. This process also helped me to have a better understanding of God and the universe as I paid attention to the intuitive nudges I received when I spent time in meditation with a mantra of spiritual healing.
Spending Time Exploring
I also spent much time exploring, reading outside the box, so to speak, to seek answers for questions I had about my spiritual tradition. For me, it was reading about science, as well as reading esoteric books that had a different view and level of knowledge than what I had known. I also ventured into the metaphysical realm, as well as quantum physics. So whatever it is that you need, spend time in prayer and meditation, and then honor the intuitive nudges that will guide you to the answers that you are seeking while you are exploring so that you can heal.
Spending Time In Self-Care
I also spent much time in self-care, always on my level, whatever I felt I needed at a particular time in my life. Taking time for me (which I had not done before my overwhelm and extreme burnout) became key for me. As mentioned earlier, I spent time in nature; I also took art classes, photography classes, and did things that I enjoyed doing. I also spent much time reading, especially before retiring for the evening, as I came to understand that my mind worked on the things that I introduced to it before retiring during the time I slept. So make sure you spend some time for you, even when you are busy and feel you do not have the time. You will not regret your me time.
While I am sure there are many more things I could share, these are the ones that are coming up for me as I write this post today. I hope you find them helpful. I would love to hear from you to know what helped you in your quest to experience spiritual healing.
