3 Books That Helped Me Shift My Attitudes About Money
When I was deep into my spiritual journey, one of the things I experienced was that I found myself going through money in an unhealthy way. I did not have the perception in my extreme exhaustion to understand what I was doing, and that money was okay.
At that time in my life, my being on a spiritual journey, along with being highly sensitive and highly spiritual, all led to my being in a place of extreme exhaustion. After coming into balance spiritually and somewhat health wise, it was time for me to move my focus to money (I found I could only effectively work on one area of my life at a time.
When we are in a place of extreme exhaustion, regardless of the reason, it affects every area of our life and money is certainly no exception. Money is an exchange system that allows us to take care of ourselves in the physical world, with simple things like a home, food and a vehicle to get us to a place where we can earn a living. There are many other things that money can buy, but these are fundamental necessities. So it is important to be mindful about our attitudes about money.
For me, there were a few things that impacted my attitudes about money. As a highly sensitive and highly spiritual, I had picked up phrases in the bible about money and what had stuck out in my mind was that it was evil, and very honestly I was not even aware there were other phrases about it being an okay thing in our lives. I also had throughout the years picked up attitudes about money or phrases about money being bad from various places. For those of us that are highly spiritual, we tend to pick up the negative perspective as it resonates as truth to us.
As I spent time in meditation with the mantra or focus of healing money, these were three books that I found helpful to me in shifting my attitudes about money, and I wanted to share them in case you are in a similar place in your own life.
My Very Favorite 3 Books That Helped Me Shift My Attitudes About Money
One of the books I was guided to was T Harv Eker’s book, The Millionaire Mind, Mastering the Inner Game of Wealth. It was probably one of the first ones I read. As I am writing this, and looking through his book, I am feeling like I would like to revisit it. It has a wealth of information and exercises to help you shift your thinking. I did his affirmations, or as he calls them, declarations, for a while, until I was guided to something different.
Another small book that is powerful is The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success by Dr Deepak Chopra. This book is in my opinion a classic and should be on anyone’s shelf who seeks to be self-enlightened and to self-heal their attitudes about money. This book offers a perspective of money and success from a more spiritual perspective.
I would like to mention a third book as well. This book is called The Energy of Money, A Spiritual Guide to Financial and Personal Fulfillment by Dr Maria Nemeth. This book is a great book also, talking about the energy of money and has some great exercises in it as well to help you shift your attitudes about money.
While these are my favorites and the ones I was guided to, it was a process and the shifting of my attitudes took a long time. I hope you find the books above helpful, but would like to suggest that you go to a bookstore and look in the personal development or business area to see what you are guided to and what resonates for you as well. You may find others might be beneficial to you or that you like them better.
I do hope you found my blog helpful to you. I would love to hear from you about the books you found helpful in your own journey to shift your attitudes about money and would love it if you would be kind enough to post a reply below.
